WRITER AND ILLUSTRATOR is the quarterly journal of AWlC. With its focus on
children's books in India, it publishes research-based articles, profiles of Indian writers, illustrators
and storytellers and their works. It carries stories in Hindi and English that have won AWIC awards or
have been prepared during an AWIC Writers' Workshop. It carries book reviews for newly published books
in any of 16 Indian languages and in English. Often, books of other foreign languages are also reviewed.
Special issues of WRITER AND ILLUSTRATOR have included Panchatantra and Hans Christian Andersen award
nominees from India. |

released by former President of India, Shri R.V. Venkataraman, during the 26th IBBY Congress in New Delhi

towards learning. Other alphabet books for English, Tamil, Urdu, Oriya, Bengla, Gujarati and Telugu
also form part of this project. |
